WASHINGTON — As Republicans regroup from their drubbing on Election Day, Texas’ Sen.-elect Ted Cruz is offering a prescription to rebuild: The party must be less timid toward Democrats, less hostile toward Hispanics, and more focused on upward mobility than on protecting big business.

“It’s easy to be demoralized, to look at these elections and throw up your hands in despair,” he told conservative activists at a fundraising dinner Thursday, but history teaches that “things can change very, very quickly.”

Republican hand-wringing and finger-pointing have been in full swing over the president’s victory and Democratic gains in the Senate. Cruz, a 41-year-old who takes office in six weeks, is already a heavy hitter among conservatives.

Tea Party senator digs in against talk of compromise – USA TODAY

WASHINGTON — The political action committee founded by Sen. Jim DeMint, a darling of the Tea Party movement, was three-for-nine in picking conservative Senate candidates this year — after spending more than $8.7 million.

Of the nine Republican Senate candidates that received money from the Senate Conservatives Fund, only Ted Cruz of Texas, Jeff Flake of Arizona, and Deb Fischer of Nebraska won election on Tuesday.

Those three and the six losing candidates benefited from some of the $16.5 million raised by the fund and an affiliated super PAC over the 2011-2012 election cycle, said Matt Hoskins, the fund’s executive director.

Despite the fund’s less-than-stellar record, DeMint and Hoskins are urging supporters to resist calls for moderation.

House Speaker John Boehner

“The election changes that,” Boehner, speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, told ABC news anchor Diane Sawyer when asked if repealing the law was “still your mission.””It’s pretty clear that the president was re-elected,” Boehner added. “Obamacare is the law of the land.”

Things we don’t need … or want

By Jay Goode

Louisiana Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke has endorsed the “tea party”.

Sorry Davy! We don’t need your endorsement. In fact, the Texas Tea Party Alliance is handing it back. Take it and put it where the ….

I do think we are the first to tell Mr. Duke we don’t want his endorsement, too!

Looking out at the search engines such as Google, Bing, and Yahoo, the tea party movement is under attack by the media propagandists. The principle is “A lie told 10,000 times becomes the ‘truth’”.

There are skin heads and old-style KKK members in North Texas and in certain areas of East Texas. Some may have infiltrated into the tea parties. A quick search on Google brings up numerous Southern “patriotic” groups in North Texas. Many may be well-meaning. Still one cannot help but wonder: Are they a hot-bed of hatred? I don’t know. You decide.

There is one blog website in the area populated by a few haters. One person boasts that he is the great, great, great, great grand-nephew of Nathan Bedford Forrest, the first grand dragon of the Ku Klux Klan. read more The “nephew” boasted to me, that he was “proud of Nathan Bedford Forrest”! A search of Facebook will turn up “persons” touting Nathan Bedford Forrest. Obviously, his legacy remains with us — like it or not!

Image depicts rabble Angle army riding through Mexican village with villagers shaking their fists in protest!

The same web site has or has had images that can be construed by many as pure hate. Was it intended to be hate? The author denies it. The image shows a Texan rabble army riding through a Mexican village. The villagers are shaking their fists at the rabble. Is this just “harmless” chest-pounding or pure hatred? You decide. How can we ask Latino voters to come to our side if we do this? You decide.

The Texas Tea Party Alliance has steadfastly stood up against hate when it has been proffered or suggested. Our web site was victimized in a cyber attack intended to silence us.  Was it an attempt to silence a moderate tea party group?

This is no time for hate.

The same web site that I spoke about above boasts a blogger who once blogged that the presumed Republican candidate for president Mitt Romney is unfit to be president because he is a Mormon. In this blogger’s opinion, it was pure hatred. The typography was in red underlined font for the entire article.  My response to this blog expressed my feelings.

On the East Coast, an Evangelical preacher has a special concentration camp where he wants to put homosexuals. He even put it on video. He was soundly condemned in the media. He should have been!

Whenever the Bible is put up as a reason to hate and fear in politics, that side has usually lost. I hope these people will look introspectively, actually read the Bible, and put hatreds out of their hearts.

Dewhurst up by 9 points

A University of Texas/Texas Tribune poll shows Senate candidate and Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst up 9 percentage points for Ted Cruz in a recent poll, Reuters reported Friday, May 25.

This may be good news for Cruz, who is the victim of Dewhurst’s media attack advertisements. If Dewhurst’s name recognition can’t propel him to victory in the primary, then Cruz certainly has a chance to edge him out in the runoff. There most certainly looks like there will be a runoff.

Read it in Reuters:

(Reuters) – A U.S. Senate candidate in Texas with Tea Party backing may win enough votes in Tuesday’s Republican primary to force a runoff with the state’s lieutenant governor, setting up another battle for the soul of the national Republican Party.

Twice this year an insurgent conservative Senate candidate has upended a traditional Republican – in Indiana, where a candidate backed by the Tea Party movement beat longtime U.S. Senator Richard Lugar, and in Nebraska, where first-time statewide candidate Deb Fischer defeated a veteran attorney general.

Emboldened by the victories, national conservatives have turned their attention to Texas, where they believe Cuban-American Ted Cruz could be a new Republican star.

Why Obama will win re-election

By the InkDemon

Shortly after their crushing victory in the 2010, some jubilant Republicans were sure that President Barak Hussein Obama’s days in the White House were numbered.

His approval numbers were down and unemployment was close to 9 percent. Republicans only needed to find a suitable opponent in 2012 and win back the White House.

Many things have changed since 2010.

Who would have thought that the Republicans would have devoured themselves in early 2012? Mitt Romney is the current frontrunner. He has yet to get a clear majority of the votes in any of the three primaries where GOP voters vote directly.

Meanwhile Obama has a billion dollar campaign war chest and has solidified his base on the left.  He is concentrating now on the independents (Indies).   The Indies will be the crucial voting bloc in the 2012 election.  What will Obama give them?

With war clouds gathering across the Middle East, Obama has removed all U.S. troops from Iraq. He is pulling out of Afghanistan. He has told Israel in no uncertain terms that he will not support an attack on Iran. The Iranians are indeed building a nuclear weapon and the means to deliver it.

Appeasement (peace) is the big carrot that Obama will dangle before the Indies for their votes. Lyndon Johnson used it to defeat Barry Goldwater in 1964.

By November the unemployment rate will be manipulated below 8 percent. Mr. O will give the economy a happy face and say he kept his promise to bring the unemployment rate below 8 percent. His big government advisors will put out the word that the crucial economic indicator, growth in Gross Domestic Product, will be 1.1 percent in 2013.  No one remembers that the GDP growth was once 4.24 percent.

The Main Stream Media including the Fox News Channel will trumpet the “Obama Economic Recovery”. Then the media will play Obama’s biggest trump card. They will “go Alinsky” and demonize the right and the Tea Party. They will try to connect the Tea Party with every “evil and hated” right-wing group in existence.

They will call the 2010 House of Representatives the Do Nothing Congress which put a drag on Obama’s economic recovery plans.  Campaigning against Congress worked for the Democrats in 2006 and as far back as 1948.

The media, the Democratic National Committee, and Obama will demonize the rich. Of course, later when the tax bill comes in, Obama’s supporters will find out that they are all “rich”.

The Ron Paul-ites will remember how they and their candidate were the victims of Alinsky tactics by their fellow Republicans. They will either find a third party candidate or fold their arms and stay home.

Will liberal politics trump religion?  Some staunch right wing Evangelical Christians will refuse to vote for Mitt Romney if he is nominated.  He is a cultist to them. Other Evangelicals will simply say that Jesus whispered in their ear to stay home or vote for Mr. O.   Many Indies won’t vote for Romney because the media will point out his ties to the Evangelicals.  It will be a circular firing squad.

Conservative members of the public sector unions will close ranks with their left-wing co-workers and vote for Obama.

Will it be another “Kumbaya moment” and 2008 all over again? The InkDemon fears that it will be.

Could this be America’s Kumbaya Moment?

By The InkDemon

Imagine a political season without contention and accusations.

Just think about a movement made up of high-minded thinkers on both sides of the political spectrum who have America’s best interest in mind.

Can you put all that together into a political party where everyone comes together and elects a humble, spiritual person to be a great president?

Just close your eyes, clinch your fists, tighten your jaw and imagine all that happening.  Now imagine when you open your eyes all this has happened!

It’s America’s Kumbayah moment!

Everyone is sitting with their arms around the person next to them.  They are swaying from side to side.  There is a big spiritual campfire, and everyone is singing:

Kumbaya, my Lord, kumbaya
Kumbaya, my Lord, kumbaya
Kumbaya, my Lord, kumbaya
O Lord, kumbaya ….

If you believe the Main Stream Media, this has finally happened.  It called America Elect.  It’s a true third party with more than a million signatures on a petition that will place a Kumbaya candidate on the ballot in every major state.

REALITY CHECK!

No third party has ever been successful in American politics.  There have been many third parties, but they all succeeded in electing the candidate whom the third-partiers did not want.

Think back to George H. W. Bush.  He was a waffling wimp of a president.  Americans loved his predecessor and longed for someone who could be the next Ronald Reagan.

Ross Perot succeeded in getting Clinton electedThat person of the moment was Ross Perot.  The billionaire was an instant celebrity on the Main Stream Media.  They all wanted to hear what he was saying.  Their questions came slow and easy.Bill   In the news business, it’s what is known as puff-ball questions. Perot looked great.  Perot sounded great.  Perot’s logic was “flawless” to many.

He succeeded in getting William Jefferson Clinton elected to the presidency.

Lurking out there are several potential third party “movements”.  These movements are all as “big” as the egos of the billionaires behind them.

Excited MSNBC reporters say America wants America Elect

America Elect has a leader.  His name is Kahlil Byrd.

Would you believe Byrd was big-time Obama supporter in 2008 and has now turned into a “genuine” third partier with our interests at the center of his heart?

If you can believe all of that, the InkDemon has a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you, too.  Below are links to web sites ready to help you to achieve your own Kumbaya Moment.

CNN: New group paves way for alternative 2012 choice

American Thinker: Americans Elect: Obama’s Third-Party Tar Pit

There other Kumbaya Moments out there.  One is the GOOOH movement.  Their silly leader was or is an executive at Dell Computers.  He wants to completely replace every House of Representatives member with a GOOOH geek.

Kumbaya, my Lord.  Kumbaya!

The leader of this “movement” wants your money.  With your money in his fist, he will assemble a gaggle of Democrats and Republicans who will change (forever?) the House of Representatives.

His name is Tim Cox.  He’s armed with a Power Point demonstration that has “flawless” logic exactly like Ross Perot.

In reality, Cox like Ross Perot is just an empty suit.

The only way to defeat Obama and restore America to greatness is by electing the best available Republican candidate and then HOLD HIS FEET TO THE FIRE when he assumes office!

Otherwise, we will be ruled by THEM!

Do you always see the glass as half full?

So back in 2008 you turned on your TV set and heard a candidate speak about Hope and Change.  Right?  You knew nothing about this candidate other than he promised you Hope and Change.

You didn’t bother to try to understand it. You just heard his promise of Hope and Change.

Does that describe you?

The economy was in the dump and the candidate promised you a bailout for your home which was underwater. In fact, you heard the candidate promise a bailout for just about everyone.

Was that the way you saw it in August through November of 2008?

Well you may have a brain malfunction, a study shows.

Researchers at the University of London have found that those who ignored negative information and only focused on Hope and Change have a brain disorder. (read more)

These people have frontal lobes which do not process real information like it should.

Does that describe you?

Do you suspect that sometimes you don’t see the world like it really is?

If so, you may be a Dim-O-Crat.

Of RINOS And Real Conservatives

President Barack Obama yesterday praised Maine Sen. Olympia Snowe for voting for the Healthcare billl in committee.  According to Obama, his healthcare bill now has bi-partisan support.

But wait!  Sen. Snowe is a RINO, a Republican in Name ONLY.  This is the same senator who was elected in 1994  when the Republicans swept both houses of Congress.  Little thanks did she have for the Republican agenda.  She preceded to vote against the resolution that would have sent Impeached and failed President Bill Clinton packing.  After that “victory” Clinton invited Snowe to the White House for an “After the Impeachment” Victory Party.

Snowe is not the first Maine senator out of step with the times.  In the 1950’s Maine had a notable GOP Senator in Margaret Chase Smith.   Chase Smith has the distinction of being the first woman whose name was put up for nomination for president of the United State.  That was the year that the Republicans embraced Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater for president.

Chase Smith is also the author of the little known Declaration of Conscience in June 1, 1950.  Her declaration was a reaction to the Red Scare.   One of the leaders in Congress was her fellow senator Joseph McCarthy.

Chase Smith unveiled her Declaration of Conscience on the floor of the Senate.  It declared:

  • The right to criticize;
  • The right to hold an unpopular belief;
  • The right to protest;
  • The right to independent thought.

Her Declaration was debated for a while, but her timing was terrible.  Only 24 days later, the North Korean Army launched an invasion across the 38th parallel and started the Korean War.  No one cared about the Chase Smith’s epistle after that.

Chase Smith’s seat eventually went over to Maine’s other senator Susan Collins.   She, incidentally,  is the other RINO in the senate.

The Real conservative of that era and of all eras remains Goldwater.   What would he say today?
